The subject would be English - listening, speaking, writing, reading, grammar, and pronunciation. The student¡¯s English level may vary. Therefore, you may choose whichever area to begin teaching or all. We do not ask the homeschool parents to teach any other subjects, but some students may show interest in American history.
The class should begin at the same time you begin homeschooling. However, we ask the homeschool parents to be consistent in teaching the student. For example, the class can begin from 9 a.m. Monday to Friday or you could set the time for each day. The students may be confused and lack preparation if the class time is not set.

We provide two textbooks per student. One book is from Bob Jones Press and the other book is workbook, which is for the students to complete a diary, weekly report, vocabulary, and idioms everyday. However the homeschool parents may use the books that they have used before.
We ask encourage you to assign homework daily. For example, memorizing new vocabularies, making sentences, reading aloud, and etc¡¦ The students are used to doing homework everyday in Korea as well. Homework is a must for Korean students.
A Korean student will write journal everyday after dinner or before going to bed.
Please check the journal while homeschooling and proofread it.
All you have to do is correct the spellings or appropriate phrases. Please explain if they do not understand your corrections.
You can also do some conversation based on what they¡¯ve written.
Please keep the record of all the student¡¯s work, and assignments in a file or a notebook. This is very important for us to show to Korean parents. They would want to see the progress of the students, and what they have learned from the teacher.
1.
Please do a level test upon student¡¯s arrival.
2. Start homeschooling once the student is settled ( can usually start within 2~3 days after
they arrive )
3. Give homework if needed
4. Please make sure to keep a record of the study. This record is very important for us
since the Korean parents would want to see it after their kid returns home.

The Korean students can participate in the activities that your family performs.
We expect the Korean students to enjoy their time spent with homeschool families.
Therefore, please provide the students with variety of activities beside the class.
For example, club activities, camping, going to the library, visiting the museums, volunteer work, group sports, field trips, and etc.
Also as the time goes, perhaps about after 3 ~ 4 weeks of their stay, the students may become lazy or bored. Therefore, these kind of outdoor activities may lead the students to experience and have something to do. |
